
50 Yrs/male, was taken to ER of local hospital at Melbourne with H/O Acquired Brain injury-secondary to intracerebral haemorrhage.
During hospitalization he was dignosed with acoustic Neuroma with sudden onset of right sided hearing loss and intermitant diplopia. He underwent a translabyrinthe resection of the neuroma. Patient went into minimally responsive state-Semi COMA state. He was put on Bipap support and life support.
As condition of patient did not show any improvement and needed life long bed care, family wanted to transfer him to Bengaluru-India for further treatment/Rehab.
They got in touch with EMSOS team to transfer the patient to Bengaluru on urgent basis. Team EMSOS was activated and planned the Med evac via commercial airlines as stretcher case escorted by experienced Medical team lead by Dr Navneet Singh.
Team EMSOS managed to obtain all clearances urgently, planned and executed the Med evac succesfully, transferred patient to Tertiary care facility in Bengaluru safely , in stable condition.
